Welcome Back. Your Dreams Were Your Ticket Out.....

I have been in a bad mood for almost a week now (see previous post). In lieu of subjecting the blogosphere to it, I took a brief hiatus. Well, I am back dammit. I guess I wasn't in a bad mood but just freaking tired and a bit ill. I can't tell if it was the time change or all this god damn pollen or both. It was nothing a half day off of work and a long nap couldn't cure. I woke up feeling so much better that I even ironed and hung all of my clothes up. Shocking.

It looks like the boy and I have found an awesome house to move into at the end of the summer. We have decided against purchasing anything right now. Seems like once a month some job in some other town comes up for one of us and it just doesn't seem worth it to go through the trouble of buying something when we could potentailly turn around and sell it. So we rent. We are going to move into a friends 1920's bungalow in a beautiful historic district in town and we are very excited. We may even take on a roommate to save money on the rent but nothing is set in stone. Nevertheless, we will be out of our tiny apartment and we will have a front porch to sit on every single night. It seems appropriate for me to start drinking Mint Julips, don't you think?

So far today I have seen the following on the short walk from my office to the science library (approx. 100 yards):

-a girl in super high turquiose heels, cuffed jeans, and a long sleeve ___________ (insert sorority name here) tshirt walking to class

-a very tired looking asian man walking with his hand down the front of his pants.

-an electric blue chevy impala with about 26'' rims....nice

-a women trip and fall on a crack in the sidewalk...not the girl in the heels but the lady who runs the news stand downtown

Nope. Unfortunately not. We will be residing on the lovely Boulevard Historic District in one Jan's rental house. Maybe marty too. Will you come over and hang out on the porch? Maybe we can start a Mint Julip summer?
